The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering $3 Billion in early 2024 for eligible applicants to deploy port vehicles and equipment and to purchase and install charging infrastructure through its Clean Ports Program. Qualifying groups include:
- Port authorities
- State, regional, local and tribal agencies with jurisdiction over ports
- Air pollution control agencies
- Select private entities in partnership with an entity listed above
The EPA will reimburse up to $500 Million per grant, covering up to 80-90% of eligible project costs depending on applicant and project details.
Applications are open and due May 28, 2024.
