Starting in March, we will begin rolling out a Service Fee on certain paid charging sessions. This helps us provide a reliable, high quality experience as the EV ecosystem grows by enabling us to:
- Improve station reliability and fund investments in driver support to ensure you get a charge whenever you need it.
- Continue delivering a premium experience, featuring an all-new, redesigned ChargePoint mobile app launching soon.
We know that every charging session is important to your daily life, and we take that responsibility seriously. We acknowledge and understand that rising costs are a growing concern, and we've designed this fee structure to be as fair as possible while supporting the reliable, accessible charging experience you expect.
Which charging sessions will it apply to?
The new Service Fee will apply to paid charging and
will not have any impact on:
- Sessions completed through connection programs, including charging at workplaces and multifamily properties
- Free sessions
- Zero-energy sessions
- Fleet account charging sessions
- Sessions on third party partner stations (e.g. EVgo or Blink)
What is the Service Fee amount?
- ChargePoint account holders: $0.25 (AC) / $0.49 (DC)
- Guests/anonymous users: $0.49 (AC) / $0.99 (DC)
We encourage you to open a free ChargePoint account via our mobile app to take advantage of these discounted fee amounts.
We will always be transparent with you, and you'll see any fees clearly displayed in the app, on stations screens and on receipts.
