Colorado EV charging incentives available for your organization

The Colorado Energy Office’s Charge Ahead Colorado program is providing EV charging station incentives at qualifying sites:

  • $4,500 - $6,250 per Level 2 AC charging port, depending on the charging speed
  • $35,000 - $70,000 per Level 3 DC charging port, depending on the charging speed

Enhanced incentives exist for income-qualified and disproportionately impacted community applicants.

This program is typically available three times per year with applications due mid-February, mid-June, and mid-October.

Workplace projects for employees, multifamily housing projects for residents, and Disproportionately Impacted Community projects installing less than six Level 2 ports can apply yearround.

Your organization may also be eligible to receive additional incentives from Xcel Energy, Black Hills Energy, the City of Denver, Empore Electric Assocation, Efficiency Works, La Plata Electric Association, Mountain View Electric Assoication, Poudre Valley Rural Electric Assoication, San Luis Valley Rural Electric Coop, San Miguel Power Assoication, Sangre de Cristo Electric Association, United Power Inc, and a 30% tax credit up to $100,000 per station under the 30C Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Tax Credit.
